This was an amazing story of grace. Justin has a past he has come to terms with; Gloria still struggles. As they meet and become friends, a popowerful message of grace unfolds. Lovely inspirational romance.
Gloria has a past to hide. Justin doesn’t want to share his past. He’s the new worship leader. She’s still trying to figure out her Christian walk. She’s from the South. He’s a Northerner. They are so different, but, something is pulling them together. Will they find forgiveness in their pain?
This is a great story by Penelope Powell, full of God’s grace and love in our Christian walk. We make mistakes, we falter and fail, but God doesn’t leave us or forsake us. If you need encouragement to find God’s love, this is the book for you. Gloria and Justin could be you, me, any of us on our walk with God. I was able to relate to them as characters and in the things they went through. A Powerful Voice drew me closer in my walk with God, gave me encouragement, and increased my faith. Forgive yourself and find who you are in God.

Women of all ages can identify with the characters in A Powerful Voice. The author does a phenomenal job sharing with her readers the various consequences many women face after abortion. The best part is the redemptive power of Jesus Christ is clearly revealed throughout the book!
This was a neat look at how God can use even our mistakes for His glory. A sweet romance too.
What a wonderful love story of two people who place Christ at the center of their relationship. With Christ our story is changed. We are forgiven. What a powerful story of how God can use something from our past to be of help to others. There is no sin too great that God can’t forgive. Such a great read and I highly recommend this book to anyone.
I enjoyed reading the story of Gloria and Justin as they navigate a friendship, then courtship and marriage. Gloria and Justin enter their relationship with considerable baggage. By putting God first in their lives, they are a wonderful example of how God can redeem the past and use broken people to serve Him.
This book is as organic as the relationships it portrays. This is not a read that will whisk you off to a land of unicorns and happy flowers - instead, it will encourage and wrap you in hope as it illustrates very real healing and love. This is the kind of book that inspires change in your life and makes you want to call your best friend, family, spouse, or lover and shower them in forgiveness. What? A concept in our world today that doesn't leave you lost in a cloud of selfishness and want? A fiction that somehow inspires better relationships in the reality? This book is as refreshing as a cool mountain stream and equally as rejuvenating. Penelope Powell is truly an inspirational writer.
