This was an okay listen. Normally, I like this narrator. but this time it was a miss. His gruff, sexiness was not a good fit. Nothing really stood out about this story, not the plot. the characters, the ending, nothing for that reason it's just OK.Product details

I am a sucker for a good book. I was introduced to this author and couldn't be more pleased. I loved this story and I couldn't put it down. It's one of those books that keeps getting better and better as you turn the pages. Definitely a MUST read!
Michael McGrew's "My Kinda Girl" was very intriguing. Every chapter left me yearning for more. I fell in love with Bobby's character and I almost felt like I was in the story with him. I could visualize every scene like a movie and I was hardly able to take my eyes away from reading. The ending was like icing on the cake, I was so shocked. This was my first Michael McGrew book but I plan to become a loyal reader from this point on. GREAT READ!
I'd give My Kinda Girl 3.5 stars.
There are so many selfish individuals throughout this books that the drama is just out of control.
While I found myself really into it @ times, it just wasn't enough.
This book was so good it has so many twist and turns that you will not know whats coming next. When the next thing happen you will be like wow I can't believe it this but this so could truly happen in real life which makes it better. If you like urban fiction or stories that have a meaning then you will love this book.
I enjoyed the book and Bobby Williams, he was released form prison and showed that you just have to want to make it, when he hooked up with James who was his sister boyfriend, after she was murdered and how he still had to make sure James was who he said he was and after James showing him the ropes and giving him all he needed when he got out, show friendship and the things that Bobby did to James, cheating with James's fiancee and also cheating on his on fiancee what happen at the end is something he deserved and I say that to say karma can take you no matter how successful you become.
If I could give this a 10 star I would, but I can't. I couldn't put this book down. I was kept on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on! You will never see the ending coming. I sat here with my mouth wide open and was like what the...Michael has told this story in a way to draw his readers in and put you right did in the middle of it. You can feel the characters emotions. You will get mad, happy and cry at the same time. This is a must read! Please get your copy today! I will guarantee you, you will not put it down! Fantastic job!
My Kinda Girl was a GREAT READ the story line holds you until the end. Bobby is a player, excon, hustler, and become a successful business man after being release from prison. Befriending his murder sister boyfriend(Jeff) Bobby finds out who is responable for his sister murder and take matter in his own hands with that leads to prison for six year and a ride that will change his life forever but that's not the one things that will end everything. He meets Jennifer who is his best friend Jeff fiancé . Bobby let temptation gets the best of him that's leads him to a unbelievable ending. I LOVED THE BOOK FROM START TO FINISH!!!!!!!
